“GRÜETZI” , I'm back!
First I want to thank the board and the membership for their input in 2007.
The 3 board members who stepped down have been replaced by Debbie Pniewski-Baur as Secretary, Charles Allmen as 2 nd Vice President, and I'll stand in for one year.
We hope to improve the input and cooperation from the members. Please pay attention to the meeting dates until we establish the 3 rd Sunday pattern. The Fondue party will be on Sunday, March 2 nd .
-Julius Baur

When you hear of someone that is sick, who do you call?
In January, 2001, Alice Boos graciously volunteered to be the Detroit Swiss Society contact for notifying when our members and their families are sick. She has been doing a wonderful job, sending well wishes on behalf of the Detroit Swiss Society. So, just as a reminder, you can send an email to AliceBoos@hotmail.com or any of the DSS Board Members.

In Loving Memory
It is with great sadness that I tell you about the passing of one of our dear member Martha Ruedi. Martha was one of the last original members of the Swiss Farms. Martha would've been celebrating her 95 birthday this year on February 17 th . Martha was the beloved mother of son, Robert Ruedi and of daughter, Nancy Wurst.
The memorial will be announced this Spring.
